História do Futuro is a documentary set in Brazil in the run up to both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.

Two main stories explore the urban conflict: the scattering of the utopian community "Vila Autodromo" for the Olympic Park, and the eviction of the "Universidade Indigena" based in the Aldeia Maracanà building.

This is Masi's second documentary related to the impacts of mega events on cities, the first one being The Golden Temple (2012).

The film is set to be released in 2016.
